Women Campaign Toasts to Tenacity

To commemorate the centennial of the 19th Amendment, Women Campaign hosted our Toast to Tenacity: What it Took to Win the Vote Celebration with special guest, Patricia Ann Pierce from the National Women’s History Alliance on August 26th which is recognized nationwide as Women’s Equality Day.

In case you missed it, please view a recording of our toast and Patricia’s presentation below.

The Toast To Tenacity ™ took place as part of the celebration hosted by Vision 2020.

Vision 2020 is a national, non-partisan women’s equality coalition headquartered at Drexel University’s Institute for Women’s Health and Leadership in Philadelphia. The coalition is made up of individual leaders and organizations working to achieve economic, political, and social equality for women in the United States. Through hundreds of Delegates and Allied Organizations representing millions of members from across the country, Vision 2020 seeks to accelerate the pace of women’s progress.

A focal point for Vision 2020 has always been the centennial of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, marking 100 years of women’s right to vote. And, this year to celebrate the centennial, Vision 2020 has commenced, Women 100, a series of programs and events in 2020 that celebrates American women and sparks new ideas about the path to gender equality. This celebration will lead the national commemoration of this historical milestone and assess the present-day status of women in relation to shared leadership, economic parity, and civic engagement.

Women Campaign is proud to be an allied organization of Vision 2020 and will be a part of the National Congress in March 2021.
